Images from Hammarkullen, a suburb of Gothenburg, the home of the photographer since year 2000. A place in slow transition, reflected in time exposures shifting between night and day, showing the trails of the sun, the moon and stars above people’s homes.
Hendrik Zeitler continue to explore the surroundings where he lives, in Hammarkullen outside Gothenburg, Sweden. For Hendrik photography has never meant ”aspect of reality” and in recent years he has become ”increasingly interested in photography as a seeing subject, and its special rhetoric – how images can be created that are still photographic but cannot be seen in the same way with the naked eye.” The images are photographed with a large format camera and long exposure times. Everything that shine and moves has left traces in the pictures.
