An image re-worked

In the darkroom, Erik Gustafsson experiments with light, memory, and the photographic process. Developed in collaboration with the French brand Études Studio, the project extends his ongoing exploration of the intersections between analogue and digital image-making. Rather than advancing a linear narrative or functioning as straightforward documentation, Gustafsson constructs a visual dialogue among the images. Some evoke intimacy and familiarity, while others appear distant or dreamlike. Taken together, they interrogate the material conditions of photography and its entanglements with memory and temporality.
