Dawid: Välstånd

Photographs and poetry from the 70s. ”Välstånd” is an unpublished book from 1976, now gets to see the light of day This book with 146 black and white photographs and 30 poems is a time journey backwards. Intended to be published in 1976, it has remained untouched in a box for 42 years. DAWID (Björn Dawidsson) has been one of the most influential photographers to give photography an art status in Sweden, “Välstånd” gives an unique oppertunity to study how Dawid's imagery changed over the years. The questions he was then concerned with back then are still relevant today. DAWID (Björn Dawidsson) made the book design, wrote poems and photographed the material for the book in the first half of the 70s. The book has been adapted to modern digital printing technology by graphic designer Sandra Praun but is otherwise unchanged in content and design.
