Formations against a landscape Curt Asker (1930-2015) is often mentioned in the same breath as the artists Robert Smithson, Andy Goldworthy and Richard Long. Like them, Curt Asker worked with nature as the basis for his art. In the 1970s and 1980s Curt Asker gained international success. In 1984 he represented Sweden at the Venice Biennale. Asker is known for his sculptural drawings often set up in the air, against the sky or the horizon.
