Kaminsky Arkitektur is an award-winning firm founded in 2007 with 60 employees in offices in Gothenburg and Stockholm. The firm is dedicated to developing cutting-edge architecture and has positioned itself as an international benchmark for sustainable architecture and an active voice in contemporary debate. The studio is led by its founder and principal, Joakim Kaminsky. After graduating from the Chalmers University of Technology in 2006, Joakim first joined the UN-Studio in Amsterdam and Wingårdhs Architects in Gothenburg, before founding the office with Fredrik Kjellgren. After the duo parted in 2021, Joakim has continued to lead the office as principal. Joakim is a visiting lecturer at the Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg and has taught at KHT Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Lund School of Architecture, Aarhus School of Architecture, and the Faculty of Architecture and Design – NTNU, Trondheim. Kaminsky Arkitektur has been awarded the Green Dot Award, World Architetcure Festival, and MIPIM Future Projects Award, amongst others.
